New Testament Lessons

Instructions

These lessons are assigned in class by number. Students are responsible for parts of their study. They will benefit from the lessons in proportion to their efforts: those who do little will benefit little; those who do much will benefit much.

Study Steps

  1. The catechist (teacher) assigns a lesson by number for the following week.
  2. The student looks up the lesson on this page and makes a note of it in the catechism notebook.
  3. Before the first catechism class in the next week, the student carefully reads the lesson from the New King James Bible, writing notes and questions about the reading in the catechism notebook.
  4. On the lesson day the next week, the student listens attentively to the presentation of the lesson.
  5. If there are notes or questions from the earlier reading, the student may bring them up after the presentation of the lesson.

  1. Acts 1:1-26 / Ephesians 2:19-22; 4:8, 11-15 → The Ascension, and the Lord gives the Apostolic Ministry to His Church
